Kitchen and Family HubMerely raising the upper rack on a newly installed DW80R7060 dishwasher less than 48 hours after installation caused a plastic part and 20 small steel balls to fall off. The dishwasher has not yet been used. I have advised Samsung of the problem and am awaiting service to either repair the malfunction or provide a dishwasher replacement. I know the parts are part of the upper rack system, but I have no idea where they were attached. So my question out of curiosity and to become more knowledgeable then is, are the parts a part of the rack or are they a part of the side rails on which the rack slides, or both?

Kitchen and Family HubHello, I apologize for the issue with the DW and would recommend waiting for the technician's visit for accurate diagnostic/ part information, however if you are interested in the part information as requested, you may want to look into obtaining the service manual. I would encourage you to contact our parts department- J&J international at 1-800-627-4368 for further assistance with that aspect if needed.

Kitchen and Family HubThank you. I had and have no intention of attempting to repair the dishwasher myself. I am waiting to be contacted as to when I can expect a technician to arrive. Since the dishwasher is new and has not yet been used I will let the professional handle the repair.

Kitchen and Family HubThank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately there is nothing on YouTube regarding the situation with my dishwasher. I was hopeful, but no luck.
