I purchased a Samsung dishwasher in December 2018 (DW80K7050) from Lowe's. The racks started rusting and the tines began breaking off about a year ago. My dishes are falling over and not getting clean and I'm getting rust stains on my dishes. I'm not even able to wash baby bottles because of fear of getting my kid sick from the rust. I was told by the salesperson and Samsung chat that racks were covered for 5 years but when I finally spoke to someone to get the racks replaced I was told that "the racking warranty does not actually cover the racks". He said that it only covered the slides that the rack uses. I did chat again and was told that rust is cosmetic. How is this cosmetic? He then offered to have a technician come out to take pictures and verify the issue which would cost $200 in labor! I can send picture or video myself. Can anyone help me?!
We are sorry to hear about this. Please send the serial number to this PM Link, and we will look in to this.
Can you provide pictures of the rust and damage to the racks?
Just an FYI to anyone who has viewed this topic. I'll save you the frustration of having to speak or chat with a "Pro." After the 2nd year, Samsung will only send new racks if you pay $200 labor fee for a technician to deliver them to you. They call it an "install" even though replacing the racks can be done by a child in under 30 seconds. It Appears it's just a way to prevent anyone from submitting a claim.
Just in case you missed my email, here's me replacing the racks in under 30 seconds. This is what will cost $200 in labor since you won't just ship the racks that are covered under a 5 year "racking" warranty
