Look what just happened to me yesterday morning. Thank God we apparently have great smoke detectors and we were able to put it out. We have walked up and found the burner on numerous times and this isn't the only incident I had a friend that was over cooking and accidently turned it on and burned up a pot holder. Last night had the smoke detectors going off even a few minutes later I might not have a house today. I decided to look to see if this was a problem for others or if there was just something wrong with my particular stove only to find all this that you guys have posted. What in the hell Samsung!!!! How did this slip by your QC and safety checks?????

Just got home to a blazing hot front burner. This is not acceptable and dangerous beyond comprehension.
I wonder what “regulation” Samsung is referring to as that will need to be changed after they fix this.

We came home Saturday after our youngest son's soccer game and some errands and had a blazing burner as well, and items that were near it had been melted. This was the FIFTH incident we have had with this unit in a year and a half! What if those items had caught fire, and burned down our home with our dog in it?!

Yes, my grocery bags just caught fire. I returned from food shopping and turned when I heard the sizzling plastic bags going up in flames. Quickly cleaned up, but left this melted mess on my stove. Really annoyed at the manufacturer. Shame on Samsung.
