Twin Cooling issues for years

JUMP TO SOLUTION

WOW! Samsung has really outdone itself with the horrible quality of their very expensive French Door Refrigerators (RF323TEDBSR/AA). My fridge was manufactured in Jan of 2013 and it literally has had issues during the warranty period and for its entire life. Like 1000's of others....the twin cooling unit fills up with ice and the cooling fan starts making noise as it "grinds" the ice away. Once the ice overcomes the fan, it stops working and the refrigerator then stops cooling and ruins all of your food. Replacing the twin cooling unit does nothing to fix the issue as I have now replaced it 4 times including January 2019 and April 2019. As of June 1st the twin cool unit was once again filled with ice and needed several days to defrost. As of July 28, 2019 the twin cool unit once again filled with ice (see pictures) and this time, I will be buying another refrigerator that is NOT a Samsung. In fact, any items made by Samsung will be forever blacklisted from my household and Real Estate business as they DO NOT stand behind their defective products. SAMSUNG TWIN COOL.jpg

FIXED: FRIDGE NOT COOLING

JUMP TO SOLUTION

FIXED:

-Unplug your refrigerator

-Remove rear bottom panel and vacuum out all the dust in the coils

-Open doors and remove all food and shelves

-Remove twin cooking panel by removing screws

-Take a hair dryer to all the ice

-Wrap copper lines in paper towels, then wrap the paper towelstow aluminum foil to make homemade insulation over the pipes in the upper right corner

-Reinstall everything

-Plug back in

-Made sure the fridge is at least 2" from wall

-Hold down the Power Freeze and the Power Cool buttons at the same time for 3 to 5 secs

-Everything will blink then it will stop. This resets the fridge

-You're welcome

JUMP TO SOLUTION

My Samsung RF31FMEDBSR/AA freezer is no longer freezing.  It was purchased May 2014 so the extended warranty just expired. What are some actions I can do to trouble shoot this issue before having to call a repair person. Thank you

FRIDGE NOT COOLING

JUMP TO SOLUTION

The model is RF25HMEDBSR

SERIAL OAFJ4BBG10035OW

I have a Samsung   The refrigerator is not cooling.  The display panel says it is 59 degrees.  I set it for 34 degrees and it pops right back up.  We have tried to unplug it for 2 minutes.  Is there anything else we can do.

If you recently plugged it in that is normal. When you set the desired temperature the display will change to the current temperature.  If you tap the “Fridge” button it will display the set temperature for a few seconds and then go back to the current temperature. It takes something like 12-24 hours to cool down.  You can use the power cool setting to speed up the process.
