Hello! I have used Smart View to mirror my phone on my Family Hub in the past, but never even attempted to interact with the touch screen until yesterday. I have One UI 7 on my S24+ and want to say it runs beautifully on the Fridge! Running split screen and having multiples windows open on the bigger screen completely changed how I used it and was something I didn't know I needed!
After playing with it for a little bit, I can say I love it a lot more than the Family Hub interface and wanted to request some improvements:
I would like it to be easier to do, or even just potentially have it as the default interface. So that brings a couple of ideas, I know that there is a USB port on top, so introducing a Smart Things Labs feature that allows Smart View over USB on the Family Hub would be ideal. (implement it similar to the old android device as a sensor lab option?)
I tried seeing if I could set up a routine with bixby but I didn't see the functions. I was thinking If fridge door opened while Home, then start Smart View on Family Hub, wait before *time*, disconnect. This isn't as smooth though and I would love to mirror my device through and through, AOD and all.
Lastly, trying to use the navigation bar can be a little frustrating, so I suggest adjusting bottom and back navigation gestures for the Family Hub so that they don't interfere with the gesture navigation on the mirrored device, when the screen's aspect ratio matches the FH. Now bar support would be nice to have too (it doesn't mirror)
