Kitchen and Family HubOur fridge started making a loud fan buzz. It sounds like it's coming from the upper rear center on the inside of the fridge. It only does it when the doors are closed and you can hear it winding down when you open the door. When you close the doors, it winds up to full speed again. We've had this fridge since March 2015. Any ideas?

Kitchen and Family HubWe would recommend having a service tech come out and take a look at the unit. I can get that set up for you if you would like. Please send us a private message to http://bit.ly/2CGMMUe with your phone number as well as the model number and the serial number of the unit.

Kitchen and Family HubMichelle was that you that deleted my post??? This speaks volumes.
Even more reason to avoid moderators advice on this forum and to avoid Samsung refridgerators in general. Thank goodness we have healthy comptetion in the market and we have lots of other options than Samsung and their horrid customer service to choose from.
Delete this too, Michelle, but you'll need to delete the entire thread because it doesn't take a genuis to read thru 11 pages of this to realize two things:
1. There is NO real help offered here.
2. Samsungs are trash and the gift that keeps on taking.

Kitchen and Family HubAdd us to the list of consumers with this problem. Issue started one month ago. We’ve followed the defrost/deice procedures several times. They give a temporary fix only to have problem recur after a few days. Noise is about 50 decibels emanating from right center of unit in rear.
Refrigerator is five years old. Reluctant to start down the rabbit hole of repairs that will probably exceed $500 with no guarantee of a long lasting fix.
Solution will be new non-Samsung refrigerator. :\

Kitchen and Family HubI want to start a petition to ask Samsung to issue a recall. Please pm me if you want to join. If I get enough answers I will get it share the details here. The worst thing is they still selling most of these fridges.

Kitchen and Family HubWE HAD TO REPLACE THE ICE MAKER TWICE IN THE FIRST YEAR 2016 RF263TEASESR/AA
COVERED BY WARRANTY
NOW THERE IS ALOUD HUMMING NOISE THAT COMES FROM THE BACK UPPER PART
STOPS WHEN I OPEN THE DOOR
WE CHANGED THE SETTINGS TO THE LOWEST POSSIBLE
WE HAD A TECH COME OUT AND SAID IT WAS THE TEMP SENSOR.
200$ TO FIX MY CONCERN IS THAT IT WILL CONTINUE TO HAPPEN.
WE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON THE UNIT AND SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE DEALING WITH THIS FRUSTRATING ISSUE.
UNACCEPTABLE

Kitchen and Family HubSame happened with me and the sensor was replaced in April and now it’s starting to happen again. Called and the company Samsung recommended called Tekniton and they said parts are only covered for 90 days and it will be $300+ To fix it again. Inverter was replaced in August 2017. I don’t have an ice maker or water dispenser. This fridge has been my nightmare appliance. The loud noise from the fan behind the twin cooler is very loud. No ice build up.
