After attempting to defrost and fix the ice block on the back of the refrigeration unit, I think I am about to give up on samsung. Three times in the past 4 months I have had to defrost my refrigeration unit. It appears as if the drainage tube is blocked with ice and the unit was slowly freezing from bottom to top, until my fan was making tons of noise. It ultimately stopped altogether, several times. I also see a huge piece of black puddy that was wrapped around a small metal tube. Some of that substance looks as if it had melted and dripped on the cooling unit. After reading dozens of posts, it seems like this is a common trend. It also seems that the only way to fix the issue is to purchase another refrigerator. However, I dont believe I will be getting another samsung.
