Like numerous others, the ice maker in my Samsung refrigerator (model number RF28JBEDBSG) has been freezing over a lot lately. I've watched YouTube videos talking about sealing a crack between the ice maker and the wall panel. I've read many other complaints on this forum with the same issue, but I have not seen a definitive "this works 100%" issue.
I bought the fridge from Home Depot in 2016, so I'm well out of my Samsung warranty. My five-year Home Depot warranty is still valid. I'm getting real sick and tired of chipping away at blocks of ice inside my fridge on a weekly basis.
Samsung has been helping folks out, you just need to call the 800 number per their troubleshooting guide on this site! Also, you might get help from this page, note that it's not as easy as just sealing the compartment!
My RF28JBEDBSG refrigerator keeps freezing up. It works for a couple of days then freezes up. I attempt to manually defrost it by removing the ice tray and allowing the ice to melt but this takes too long. Please provide me with a solution or repair.

My 22 cubic ft. Counter Depth 4-Door French Door Food Showcase Refrigerator MODEL NUMBER: RF22KREDBSG/AA has two issues both have to do with ice and leaking water. The Ice cubes get all jammed up inside the ice maker and freezes completely. This is less than 2 years old and it keeps doing this. There has to be a fix for this. Can you please let me know how to get this repaired so that we can use this.
I have the same issues with my refrigerator. I've only had mine for a little over a year and I've been dealing with it for at least 8 months. I should've returned it the first time it happened. I love the design of it but hate that water gets everywhere and it stops making ice when it freezes over. Is there a fix for it?
