Ice Maker freezes over and stops making ice

The ice maker stops making ice. When I take the bucket out everything is frozen over. I have to defrost the ice maker to get it to work again. I am having to do this every 4-6 weeks. Is there a real fix, everyone on the board seems to have this issue, and no real fix is in place.
