I have Samsung french door refrigetor that has an ice maker which freezes over and stops working.
Frquency of ice over in ice maker is now about 2-3 weeks and it blocks ice from being made.
It gets so bad I have to defrost with a hair dryer to get it back working again.
Unfortnately, this is out of warranty.
I see a lot of online discussion and this seems to be a defect in the design.
It also looks like there is a class action law suit in the works.
I am not a big fan of class action law suits, only the lawyers make money.
I just want my ice make working, and I can do it myself if I can order the parts listed in the service bulletin at a reasonable price. However I don't want to waste my time if it will not solve the issue.
Has anyone done this and it solved the issue?
