My family hub updated software on 6-27-24, after completing the up date the system reset. Now it appears the microphone no longer works, Bixby and alexa do not recognize the microphone. I have called support many times with no help! And have restarted the fridge. What is the problem? How does this get fixed??

My microphone isn't working after update as well. I don't want to reset my fridge otherwise all my memos, pictures and apps will delete

I'm having the same issue, right after the recent update.  I'm going to guess that there will be another update 'fix' that may resolve the issue.  I sometimes have the same issue on my samsung laptop where after an update my fingerprint scanner isn't recognized.  Then after some fashion, another update happens and boom, the scanner works again.  I'm going to wait before I do a factory reset and see if they send out another update to 'fix' the bug.

To ALL, userKnXzeypThP posted solution on 6/28 is the correct method. I was able to reach Samsung Tech Services and they confirmed there will be no second software update in the near future to fix the microphone issue. I then backed up my app settings, pictures, and calendar onto the Samsung cloud, completed the Factory Data Reset, and reinitiated wifi, Samsung account log in, Alexa, Bixby, RING, and other apps. Now Alexa and Bixby responded normally. Previous software update was intact. I then restored the pictures and calendar notes from the cloud. All is well.

When you say previous software update was intact- are you referring to the one prior the this latest? Or are you saying you did the latest update again when it popped up?

I did factory reset and microphone functionality was restored. Shortly after the option came up for the latest update- which I ignored assuming it would just recreate the problem again.
