Per the manual for Microwave oven (ME19R7041fS) page 12, the 1 Pound Defrost Function, the oven should beep twice during the defrosting process and display "turn the food over". My oven, stops after 30 seconds, beeps, and when the start button is pressed, it continues to defrost for five minutes, 30 seconds. I have had five service vists since July and two parts have been replaced including the main computer board. The service company will not verify to Samsung that the unit is defective and Samsung will give me a refund. Has anyone else had this experience with this microwave?

Kitchen and Family HubI have the same problem. I see 2 different behaviors based on the input entered.
- If I press AutoDefrost and then hit start it starts a 6:00 countodwn, it stops after 30 seconds, and when I hit start it runs for the remaining 5:30. Very strange functionality. Why the 30 second stop?
- If I hit Auto Defrost and enter in a value for weight, like 1.0 for 1lbs, it starts a 9:09 minute countdown and runs until complete. (No display change during the beeping...just continues to count down.)
- When I run it at .05 for .5lbs it starts at 4:32 and then at 2:42 is beeps 4 times and continues to run until 1:32 then beeps 4 times. (No display change during the beeping...just continues to count down.)
Not sure why the differences.

Kitchen and Family HubHave you tried to unplug it for a while and plug it back in? Does it only happen on the defrost selection?

Kitchen and Family HubI have the same issue with the 1 lb. Auto defrost stopping after 30 seconds, beeping and waiting for start. Yes, the only happens on defrost however, I also get a C-10 code using the reheat function for a dinner plate. Update: I unplugged my microwave and let it sit 2 plus hours. Plugged back in. Same issue/error with 1lb auto defrost.

Kitchen and Family HubA technician has looked at it on five different service visits! Still was not working according to the manual. Obviously, the unit is defective. Do not have to deal with it anymore. I replaced the microwave with another unit from a different manufacturer. Works great! Samsung approved a refund but then renigged because I had already disposed of the defective microwave. Guess I was supposed to keep it forever even though it didn't work right. Very frustrating process. Will never buy Samsung again!
