My Family Hub Will not open settings

I an troubleshooting connection to Samsung Smart Things app and the family hub. It told me to delete the fridge and reconnect. In order to connect I need to open settings to connect but every time I try to launch settings, there is a brief lag and the home page comes up. I am connected to the internet. Apps like Spotify work and play music.

You should be adding the frig to the SmartThings app by hitting the plus sign, not in Settings.1759618311153.jpg

Thanks for responding. When I try to add the fridge in the smartthings app, it tells me to go to the family hub refrigerator and finish connecting through settings on the family hub. 

"On your Family Hub's display, go to Settings Connections L Easy Connection, then press the Connect button.

If Connections doesn't appear in the Settings menu, look for Easy connection instead."
