A new refrigerator was delivered this morning and has been running and cooling all day. I noticed that it doesn't seem to be making any ice and was wondering if this was normal.

Is this issue just because it has only been on for 5 hours at this point or should it be dropping ice already?

First, make sure your water line is opened. If not, open the supply line and flush it through. Otherwise, it should have dropped something by now.

Thanks! The water line has been on all day as I was told to dump the first two gallons of water to make sure the water is properly potable.

I JUST heard the first ice cubes drop! I also found something on the Samsung site that said it can take 6-12 hours before ice begins to fall.
