I have a Samusung Model RF28HMEDBSR/AA refrigerator that I have been having trouble with the ice maker for years.  I've done all of the updated except the last one that includes a new board. I have replaced the auger with a later revision, Ice Maker with latest revision.  I've added the clips to hold the plastic shroud in place, made sure the water pipe entering the icemaker section wasn't pushed too far in.  About everthing I can find a bulletin for. I contaced Samsung a few months back and the agreed to come out and instal the latest kit which includes the board. I later get a call letting me know that they will not be repairing the unit because there isn't  a service location around. I'm already out hundreds for the updates that I have bought and purchased myself and don't wan't  to have to pay for another  service "kit" that may or may not fix my problem.

I have been a loyal Samsung customer for years.  Phones, appliances, TVs, tablets, PCs among other things.  I don't know if I'll buy another Samsung refrigerator or appliance after this experience. Love my Samsung products and I understand that you get a bad product in any brand.  Seems like most of these refrigerators have these issues.  Just wish Samsung would step up to the plate.  They could send me the parts.  I'm a pro at the removing and installing the ice maker section and I've already replaced the board back in 2016 after a bad fan took out a transistor.
