To anyone looking to buy a Samsung fridge, beware. We purchased the RF23HCEDBSR/AA in 2017 and I can't tell you a time we haven't had an issue with the ice maker. We even purchased an extended warranty for this fridge and it has been ineffective. The certified repair specialist tell me this is a common problem with Samsung's and they have no permanent fix for the ice maker issues. This picture represents a weekly occurance of ice stopping my ice maker. I have to manually chisel the ice buildup for my ice maker to function properly for roughly another week until I have to do it all over again the next. It's frustrating you pay so much money for an appliance and it NEVER worked properly from the beginning. What's even worse is when you get a service technician out three different occasions that tells me it cannot be permanently fixed.
