Have a Samsung refrigerator, model RF267AERS, serial number . French doors with freezer on the bottom; ice maker/water dispenser/display panel on left door. Not sure how old refrigerator is; was in the house when we purchased about two years ago.
The display panel keeps beeping and keeps displaying various temperature settings. Various icons light up and then go dark. Beeping is near-continuous. This is not the door-is-open alarm, just to clarify. This beeping is coming from the display panel. Also, there doesn't seem to be a problem with the actual internal temperature of the fridge or freezer. Those have been holding steady, despite what the display panel tells us.
Have tried unplugging the fridge for several minutes, holding down different button combinations that people online have suggested, but nothing works so far.
The display panel started acting like this earlier in the year, but then stopped, and when a technician looked at it then, it wouldn't do what we'd described and so he didn't make any repairs at the time.
We have a service appointment scheduled but it's not for another three weeks. Would be great if there was some way to disable the noise. Is there a way to do that?
I am sorry, with the panel compromised, there is no way to disable the alarm.
