Ring App does not work as it did with the new Family Hub software

Ever since the latest update to the Family Hub software I can not longer see live videos and the app does not open when someone rings the doorbell. I am able to see my past videos on the fridge door.

 

My software version is:   TIZEN 4.0 (FHUB4N.KM.US.RF9500.MP.RELEASE 20190529_095646)

 

Model : RF22N9781SG/AA,RF22N9781SR/AA,RF28N9780SG/AA,RF28N9780SR/AA

Incoming ring notifications not working is likely due to login issues.

 

One of the things you can try is to logout, clear the app cache using

 

Apps -> Stroage -> Apps > Ring -> Clear Cache

 

In the screen, you can also see the Ring app version. Please let us know the same.

(4.0.23 is latest version for US)

 

After this, please try to login again using

 

Apps -> Ring

I logged out and cleared the cache,   The Ring App Ver. 4.0.23

 

I logged back in, and now when the door bell rung the Family Hub opens the ring app as before Family Hub update. 

 

NOTE: When I click on the Ring icon I still get the “View on Ring App For best experience please download or the Ring App” popup (see attached photo)

This is a popup message delivered by Ring and we are unable to control it. At the moment, you can dismiss it and continue navigating by hitting "Continue".

 

We are in touch with Ring to find a resolution for this, but it could take time.

Why are these being marked as "solved"?  Is there a solution?  Blaming Ring isn't really a solution is it?  I purchased this fridge with the understanding that I could "live view " and I have yet to see any camera.

Some customers have had their issue resolved with the following steps.

 

Please try and let me know if this helps.

 

logout from the Ring app or ringwidget, if already logged in.

 

clear the app cache using

Apps -> Stroage -> Apps > Ring -> Clear Cache

 

In the screen, you can also see the Ring app version. Please let us know the same.

(4.0.23 is latest version for US)

 

After this, please try to login again using

Apps -> Ring

After reading this post I contacted Ring directly. And they’re basically putting it back on Samsung. See below for screenshots of my conversation and the reasoning of why it has to do with Samsung itsel
