I have been hand washing my AutoFill pitcher as it is not listed as dishwasher safe even on top rack. Today I emptied to wash and found mold. I searched and found many others have reported this problem. The solution given is to clean or buy a new pitcher. Please provide a link to how the pitcher can be cleaned and sterized. I washed several times with soap, warm water, brushes, dish cloth and wiped with paper towel to see if any spots remained. The infuser basket and its holder still have spots due to the nooks and crannies of the design. Please advise.

From my days dealing with an office water cooler, the standard cleanout would be to fill the pitcher with a mild solution of bleach with water and let soak for a half hour. Rinse thoroughly. Preferably once a week, but once a month would probably be fine.

Thanks, Samsung says no bleach, no abrasive but, that's what I did. Also, diffuser is not going back in!!! There are 264 little slot holes in that piece!

Well, maybe it's the diffuser that meeds to be bleached regularly. Everybody says no bleach because they don't want to be blamed if someone gets poisoned. There are people who will pour a half gallon of bleach in, rather than a diluted solution.
