Kitchen and Family HubI have this older fridge, which I found warm the other day (both refrigerator and freezer). I tried to reset the fridge (turn off pwer, wait 30 sec, turn it on again). The fridge immediately started cooling. But the next day it was warm again. I placed two temperature loggers into the compartments and reset the fridge again. It seems that the fridge cools down to the desired temperature, and keeps the temperature (I see small periodic temperature changes), The freezer also cools down to the set temperature, but then stops and the entire fridge warms up again, and it requires a power reset to get it working again, and then the same happens again.
I did replace the main board with a new one, but that did not change anything.
Given the fact that the refrigerator does seem to keep the temperature low, it seems to me a fault with either the freezer thermistor, or the defrost sensor. Can I test temperature sensors by swapping the refrigerator sensor and the freezer sensor, or are they different? Is there a way to test the defrost sensor?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks for your help.
