I own a Linear washer, which shares similar features with the StormWash models. The door opening after a wash cycle completes is normal. This helps plastics dry because it allows steam to escape out of the machine.
You can turn this feature off. For my model, in the SmartThings app, I can toggle off this option. After selecting my dishwasher I can select a menu (3 vertical dots in the top right) to open more options. I select "settings." Then toggle Auto Release Dry to off. I imagine this is similar for StormWash models.
This is on a Samsung phone. If you're on an iPhone I'm not sure if the procedure is the same.
