Dishwasher DW80B7070US occasional failure

My DW80B7070US dishwasher will, on occasion, not actually run when it is started. The timer starts and counts down like everything is working but no water runs and nothing gets cleaned. If I just start it again after that, it works as expected. It will then work correctly for several more runs.

At first I thought it was only happening on delay start, but it happens on immediate starts as well.

Is there anything that I can do to remedy this?

@tlh119 I would start with testing/replacing the water inlet valve. It sounds like that may be failing.

Thanks! I'll follow up once that has been done.

@tlh119 You will also want to test the associated sensor. If the dishwasher can't get water, it should throw an error. I've encountered this when the shut off at the water heater was engaged.

Well, it gets water most of the time. It's just that occasional run that it doesn't. Then it works fine again immediately.

The sensor should cause an error code when there is no water.

I don't think there has ever been an error code. It just runs as if nothing is wrong. It even opens the door at the end. I will look carefully for an error next time.

@tlh119 The error code would block it from running the cycle.

It could be both the valve and sensor. I am starting to suspect that the logic board may be failing.
