KitchenI've had this unit since 2021. It has a soap dispenser that slides closed after you load it, and then (presumably) opens to release soap during the wash cycle. My issue is that for the past few months the sliding door will not snap closed. Consequently, the soap or tablet presumably just dumps out into the tub as soon as you close the door.
I haven't been able to find any fixes for this online. Seems every YouTube repair video details fixing a standard "door" type dispenser that opens and closes on a hinge. This sliding type of dispenser door seems somewhat unusual, or at least less popular.
I could buy a replacement part and probably repair it myself, but I'm wondering if that's necessary. If I lift up the sliding door I can see a spring beneath the door as well as a blue lever on the dispenser unit. It seems like these just need to be reconnected. Not sure how, though, since if you were to bring them close enough together to reconnect you wouldn't be able to see anything.
Just wondering if anyone here, or any Samsung reps, have any tips, tricks, advice, photos, or videos regarding this issue. Again, it is a sliding door.
Thanks,

KitchenHello, absinthe1021, Welcome back to the Community. We understand your concern with the detergent drawer not staying shut as it should. We want to help with that.
We researched to see if we have any troubleshooting steps that can help, and at this point we have a couple things we can suggest to try.
Please check that the detergent compartment is free of any detergent build up that could cause the detergent door not to shut completely.
Please check that the detergent compartment latch and catch aren't broken.
If you find that the sliding door or the compartment has any broken piece(s), or wish to have a tech come out to correct detergent compartment not snapping in place, we have a few options to set up service for your convenience.
