KitchenHi all,
Has anyone here recently purchased one of these models?
1.2 cu. ft. Countertop Microwave with Power Convection in Black Glass
MC12DB8700CKAA
1.9 cu. ft. Countertop Microwave with Sensor Cooking in Matte Black Stainless Steel
MS19DG8500MTAA
If so, please let me know where it was manufactured. It should be on a label somewhere.
Thanks much.

KitchenIf you have one of these, please look at the label. I think it might be made in Malaysia, but I want to be sure.

KitchenSeeing how Samsung has manufacturing plants all over the world, there's a possibility that even the same model of appliance can be made in different factories/countries. Can I ask why it makes a difference where it was manufactured? I don't have a Samsung microwave, but a quick search indicates that Samsung Microwaves are primarily manufactured in South Korea, China, Viet Nam and India. I am not sure they manufacture anything in Malaysia. If you are thinking of buying one of those models, you can go to a store and look at the label.

KitchenI am asking because nobody has these in stock locally. I refuse to buy a microwave made in China. If that is the case with this model, I'll buy a commercial unit made in the USA.

KitchenMore than likely it was produced in South Korea. As far as microwaves go, I'm sure there are better brands. Good luck finding one manufactured here, though. I think GE manufactures in Kentucky. But, GE is now owned by Haier, which is a Chinese company, if that's your sole criterion.
