KitchenLiterally got the Wednesday and 2 hours later after running the update it's a brick. Screen is permanently off, red button doesn't fix it, unplug, killed breaker, literally black screen. No longer shows online in app. To top it off Samsung has been no help rescheduling repair appointment, then being told it can't be fixed, then being told we have to return the fridge and go buy another. How are you going to make a fridge that breaks in 2 hours and tell me the fix is to return it and buy a new fridge. Immediately regret purchasing their product especially with how much you spend.

This is a peer to peer user forum and this issue requires Samsung intervention. Did you buy it from a store? You should be able to return it. Normally within the 30 days, one would return the item to the place of purchase. This may be where the snafu comes in. If you bought it directly from Samsung, they should be able to arrange a no cost return for the defective item and a refund so you can purchase something else.
I would think that even if the electronics for the hub can't be repaired, the entire control panel can be replaced. I don't know how the service people can determine that the unit itself is unrepairable without arranging for a technician to evaluate it.
