KitchenI have a four door Samsung smart fridge ( 2024 model ) with Beverage Centre. TuneIn is a preinstalled app that is driving me crazy. TuneIn will autostart, making crackling and popping noises with a faint radio sound. The only thing that seems to stop it temporarily is to go to "settings", slide the volume bar to full right and then full left. Despite this, the darn app is barking every day and is very annoying. Apparently the app cannot be deleted, but there must be SOMETHING that can help me out.

KitchenHello Doctorp, welcome to the Samsung Community! We understand your recent frustration with your Smart fridge. Having your fridge sound like its running is never a good situation! I will be happy to help you with this ordeal so you may have some silence, or music of your choice. To troubleshoot this issue I would recommend going to the Family Hub and choosing a different default application. For more information about the apps you have to choose from, please visit this link here:

KitchenI really appreciate the speedy response from Samsung. I have a 2004 4-door smart fridge with twin ice makers and Beverage center with pitcher. It has a large screen on the upper right door.
I can certainly look at the list of apps, but when I boot up Spotify on my iPhone and tap the connection icon, Family Hub does not appear in the list of devices. Perhaps I have to set up Family Hub? The term is new to me.

Hello 2008Porsche997, thank you for your swift reply that the Spotify App isn't seeing the Family Hub.
Here are some additional things to try to help with both apps:
Troubleshooting for the Family Hub:
- Reset/ Power Cycle the Family Hub: Press the reset switch located the top inside of the right door.
- Open the fridge door and locate the switch cover on the top right corner of the door.
- Push up the cover to reveal the power switch.
- Turn the power off and turn it on again.
- Reinsert the switch cover to the end until you hear a clicking sound.
- Please also check that the Family Hub software is up to date.
- Please make sure that the Fridge is connected to Smart Things on your phone.
- Check that the phone and the fridge are on the exact same wi-fi network.
In reference to your initial concern about the Tune In app, try logging out of the app.
If the steps above were unsuccessful, please provide the model number of your fridge so we can make sure we tailor our information to your specific model (the model number is on the inside left wall of the fridge on a white sticker).
Please let us know if this helps. We look forward to your response.

KitchenI rebooted the fridge and the static sound persisted. The TuneIn app cannot be deleted, and the only option with the app is to turn "restrictions" on or off. Neither setting stopped the problem.
I turned the wi-fi off and the problem vanished of course, but once I turned the wi-fi back on the static was back in a few hours. I went into the TuneIn app and again confirmed this is the source of the problem. it was suggested I install Spotify, and it might become the default app for the fridge but it made no difference.
I contacted TuneIn and they thought the app could be deleted or disabled but it cannot be. It came preloaded in the fridge and I can't see a way to delete it.

KitchenHi, 2008Porsche997, Thank you for getting back to us with what you've tried. We looked into the static issue coming from the app at random times.
Looking into this further, we would recommend trying a different radio station on the app to see if the noise stops. We would also suggest rebooting the Wi-Fi router and the family hub (at the red button mentioned above). Turn off the family hub, then turn off/unplug the router for a couple of minutes, restore power to the router and when the router is back up, turn on the family hub again. If the noise still persists, we would recommend reaching out to the app developers for additional information.

KitchenI did a full restart of the fridge and lo and behold, there is a different user interface. This seems to be a firmware and/or software update. I have waited 48 hours and no static or TuneIn auto-starting. I'll have to reload all the photos for the gallery, no biggie.
This seems to be the fix for that glitch. Happy now!
