LED and OLED TVsHi @Rstanley, thank you for reaching out to the Community with your power issues. I can understand how frustrating this can be. Here are a few steps that you can use to troubleshoot the issue.
1. Hard Power Reset
Unplug the TV from the wall socket while it is on.
Locate the physical power button on the TV (usually under the Samsung logo or on the back/side) and hold it for 60 seconds to drain residual power.
Leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes.
Plug the TV directly into a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors/power strips temporarily).
2. Check Input & Cables: If the screen is black but you can hear sound, toggle the input source using the remote. Unplug and reseat all HDMI cables.
3. Flashlight Test: In a dark room, shine a flashlight at the screen while the TV is on. If you see a faint image, the backlights have failed (hardware issue).
4. Check Standby Light: If the red light is on, the TV has power. If it is blinking, it indicates an error.
If these steps do not work after trying them 3-5 times, it may indicate a failure of the main board or power board.
If the unit needs service, you can get that set up online with this link https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/locations/.
