LED and OLED TVsAfter contacting Samsung about an issue that happened ( TV starting then turning itself off in an endless loop ) to my 75" TV in the last month of its 1 year warranty, they arranged for the TV to be picked up by Robert Dyas to be repaired under warranty. Before they picked the TV up the problem had fixed itself so I had to cancel the pickup. A few weeks later when my 1 year warranty had expired, a dark vertical 16" shadow appeared from top to bottom around two thirds of the way across the screen on the right hand side. I followed all the advice and tips, and then looked into it in greater detail on the forum, only to find out that it is a common problem and once out of warranty, Samsung say it is an unknown to them fault that would have to be paid for by the customer. I also noticed that fellow sufferers mentioned when contacting Samsung about their fault, they got a one second call on their phone which would be the Samsung helpline fulfilling their obligation to call you without giving you time to answer the call. This is exactly what happened to me, and I am wondering if anyone has had a successful outcome to their problem, as I think such an expensive ( now faulty ) TV should not be ignored by its manufacturer just because it is marginally outside its warranty ?
