LED and OLED TVs

I have a HW Q990F soundbar that fails intermittently when connected to my Samsung TV via the eARC input. I used the HDMI cable included with the soundbar. The TV recognizes the soundbar, and the display on the bar indicates that it's connected 'TV eARC HDMI'.  If I turn the bar off, sound reverts to TV.  The TV is a Samsung UN55TU8500
