On the media hub of my Samsung TV, there is an advertisement for Diablo IV on the XBox.  This advertisement features a demon/witch type creature and it’s something I don’t want my 3 & 5 year olds looking at.  It’s literally the first thing you see upon turning on the TV.  I’ve tried every parental control and even called the Samsung Support desk.  The agent I talked to directed me to complain about it here.  I don't even have an XBox anyways.  I’d understand if it was in the Game hub but it’s not.

If this doesn’t get resolved soon, I’ll be forced to take the TV down, sell it, and replace it with a TV that wont do the same thing.

It's there most likely because of it's current popularity, however if you've ever downloaded, watched, or viewed any similar ads, it may be a personalized ad, and personalized ads can be turned off. But other than that I'm not sure if there is much you can do

The ads change often. It won't be there forever.

I agree. We just bought the TV tonight, and we are both very annoyed with that exact ad. We don't want anything to do with XBox. Samsung should allow us to remove that ap and eliminate the inappropriate ads entirely.

Consumers have very little control over the advertisements that are shoehorned into our lives. There are plenty of ads I'd block too if I had any say in the matter but those ads are the corporations' cash cows so you're going to find them pretty much everywhere these days except offline on DVDs.

Its the little things I dig in life. Thank you for this. It's appreciated cuz it sucks & is really crapper when I'm worrying about this on places like that. Its alot like being at the front part of Macy's walkin in & immediately hit with some inappropriate situation with ur kids in tow. Id rather not have to deal with that but I don't think anyone should considering there's settings to control this very behavior on these phones. It shouldn't happen then of we set them up the restricted way in parent controls right?! That shouldn't happen at all then I wouldn't think otherwise they setting is pointless I would think. But a security feature like that should be in one place one very obvious easy place like in Settings and thats applied locally to the entire phone & it's behavior cuz it's what it feels.like when u set these controls...but it's just as crucial a setting in terms of security than any other security vulnerability as a parent it's BIG.
