I have a Samsung S85D TV and a Yamaha ATS1080 soundbar. The soundbar is connected to the TV with an optical cable. When I add the soundbar to the TV's universal remote, the power test works, i.e. the soundbar turns off and on. After the soundbar is added to the remote, the volume control works, but when I power the TV on or off, the soundbar does not power on or off. I would like the soundbar to turn on with the TV, and off with the TV.
Is there another step I need to take, so the remote knows to turn the soundbar off and on along with the TV?
