I have a Samsung phone and big screen TV. Both are great.
However, signing up for subscriptions through the TV is a nightmare. I signed up for a Fox One account. I canceled tWO months ago but Samsung Checkout charged me 2 times after that for the subscription. $21.88 each. When I attempted to get a hold of customer service my nightmare started. First of all you cannot talk to a real human. They claim you can chat but based on the default responses, I suspect chat was not human either. For two months I went back and forth between Samsung and Fox One. It turned out that signing up on the TV created a second account which was on the Samsung servers. I tried 5 times by email requesting a refund. 5 times I got this lie.
Unfortunately, we are unable to issue a refund at our end. Please contact seller directly: https://help.fox.com/s/ https://help.fox.com/s/contactsupport to receive refund for the purchase.
**we regretfully inform that we, Samsung Checkout on TV Customer Care, do not have the authority to issue a refund for the subscription according to relative business rules.
Even though I had documentation from Fox One that the charge was not theirs. I finally found the errant account on the Samsung servers. It had been there all the time. I canceled further payments but I am still out about $42.
I am NEVER EVER signING up through my Samsung TV AGAIN. The response on this one borders on fraud. Buyer beware.
