LED and OLED TVsProblem resolved. I had this same Mute issue but I found out how to resolve it. Here's what I did:
Go to the Home page on TV. Then scroll over to "Settings" on the left menu.
Select "Support"
Select"General and Privacy"
Scroll all the way to the bottom and select "Reset Factory Data"
It will ask for a PIN. The default is "0000" if you've never changed it.
Resetting the data will leave the new update in place, but remove all of your setup you did when you unboxed the TV. Yes, this is annoying and will take some time, but if you log in with the same Samsung account it should use the backup it made during the update.
Mute should now work normally.

We also did the update today, 4/6/26, and the mute is also not working on both of our Samsung remotes. This is a bug that Samsung needs to fix quickly!

LED and OLED TVsDear Douglas53. Thanks for the advice. Many others have similar advice. Unfortunately, I have done everything except "reset factory data" since the TV complains that the menu option is not available. I did a "reset' in maintenance mode which completely neutered the TV. Still no mute and I lost all the authentication information for my streaming services. BAD Samsung. Three hours into troubleshooting to get an update that changed the shape of some menu items and add some nag screens.

LED and OLED TVsMy mute button icon doesnโt show up on the screen after latest update. Itโs not the remote either, as it works fine on my other Samsung TVs.
