I have a qe65s90F I have set up Smartthings and Built in Alexa on it. Voice control works for TV functions. However under "Voice Assistant", with Amazon Alexa selected the only hands free options are off and only when tv is on. There is no "always" option. If I select Bixby as the voice assistant, all three options are available. I tried switching between Bixby and Alexa, Switching TV off at the plug for 30 seconds and signing out/in to samsung account.
If I enable daily board and the TV is off, when I say "Alexa turn on the lights", the TV comes on with the daily board, but the Alexa command doesn't fire (no lights come on). So the TV is aware of things while it is off.
I also have an Echo dot, which I was hoping to make redundant by using the built in Alexa. Using the echo dot I can say "Alexa TV on" and the TV will come on. So currently I have 2 Alexas, one just used to turn on the TV hands free...
