LED and OLED TVs
I have a 2017 Samsung UN65MU9000 with latest firmware (1401).
TV Plus stopped working about 6 months ago. Unusually, the guide works fine, shows all the shows, but when selected times out and displays a connection error.
I have 5 Samsung TVs in the house, and the other 4 work fine. They are all connected wirelessly to an Orbi 750 mesh network, delivering over 400 Mbps.
The non-working (TV Plus) TV is the main use one in the living room, and is 5 feet from the router. Things I have done to date:
1) Factory reset the TV. 2) Factory reset the router. 3) Try alternative DNS settings. 4) Hardwire the network from router to TV. 5) Sacrifice a chicken (J/K, but almost...) NONE of these made any difference.
I had an idea to try a different network, so I enable the hotspot on my Samsung Note 10+ phone, and enabled a WiFi connection for the TV through my phone. Success!!! It works flawlessly like this. Please keep in mind, the other 4 TVs in the house work perfectly; it is only the one TV with this funky issue.
Since the guide works, I'm guessing the guide refers the user's channel selection to a different IP, which is where the issue arises, and the reason I tried different DNS settings which did not work.
Any advanced users that have a clue as to how to resolve this issue?
Thanks for your time!
