LED and OLED TVsI have a waterproof Bluetooth speaker that I use to listen to TV audio when I'm in the shower. For more than 2 years, as soon as I turned on the Bluetooth speaker, a window would pop up on my Samsung TV, asking if I wanted to connect. And with one click, the speaker was connected.
But about a year ago, this stopped working. Now, I have to dig into the sound settings to manually select and connect to the Bluetooth speaker.
At the time, I spoke to Samsung technical support, and they were beyond useless. But notably, they confirmed that a software update had been pushed out *the day before*, which made me suspect that they had broken this feature inadvertently with the update. But the support agent actually became agitated at the very suggestion that their "brilliant engineers" would (or even could) ever make such a mistake. How ridiculous. So, I've gotten nowhere.
More facts:
ā¢ I have three Samsung TVs, and I tested this on all three TVs with the same results. Bluetooth speakers are no longer automatically detected.
ā¢ I have two of these speakers (one of which I rarely use). I paired it with the Samsung TVs and got the same results.
ā¢ I ordered a NEW Bluetooth speaker from Amazon, just to make sure that my speakers hadn't developed defects. The new speaker behaved exactly the same way.
ā¢ Once in a blue moon (maybe once a month), I *do* see the pop-up, and I'm able to connect with one click. When this happens, I used to think, "Oh, great! They've finally fixed this!" But no. These are one-offs that only happen rarely.
ā¢ I've enabled automatic updates, and there are no new updates for my TVs.
ā¢ Samsung gave me the option to have a technician sent out, but it was a 3rd-party (authorized) company, and I was going to have to pay over $100 for the visitā*whether they fixed the issue or not*. (I suspect this issue is Samsung's fault, so I opted not to pay for the technician.)
Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the TV to automatically detect the Bluetooth speaker again?

LED and OLED TVsHello! @soundsg00d Thank you for posting about this. I'll be more than delighted to assist you with this issue. Can you soft restart the TV and Bluetooth speaker? Have you tried to repair the Bluetooth speaker? Go to TV's settings> sound> sound output> Bluetooth speaker list. put the Bluetooth speaker in pairing mode and re-pair it with the TV. Also, check for software updates, here's a link you might find helpful: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00079347/
If the issue still occurs you could do a factory reset on your tv. Go to Settings> General > Reset, and follow the on-screen instructions. Note that this will reset all your settings and may delete apps or saved data.
Please let me know If this helps

LED and OLED TVsThanks. I've already done each of those things to no avail.
