LED and OLED TVsHello everyone. I just purchased a QN55QN70FAFXZA. I have a TiVo Edge for Cable hooked up to the HDMI 1 port. I hooked it up with a brand new HDMi cable. When I first turn on the tv the TiVo does not show and the TV shows no connection. I have to change the channel on the TiVo like 5 times and then the Tv will see the TiVo and it works fine. Any thoughts on to why this is happening? I set the TiVo to a lower resolution and that did not help. Thanks in advance for everyoneโs help!

LED and OLED TVsHello, hanginghelmet! Thank you for reaching out about your QN55QN70FAFXZA and the connection issues with your TiVo Edge. It sounds like you are experiencing an HDMI or an HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) issue. Changing channels likely forces a new signal request that eventually completes the HDMI detection. We have some troubleshooting steps below that may help.
1) Disable Input Signal Plus: On your Samsung TV, navigate to Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Input Signal Plus and toggle it OFF for HDMI 1. Many TiVo users find this helps with connection stability.
2) Toggle Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC): Go to Settings > Connection > External Device Manager > Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) and try turning it OFF to prevent automatic port interference.
3) Power Cycle: Unplug both the TV and the TiVo from the wall for at least 60 seconds to clear any temporary communication bugs before plugging them back in.
4) HDMI Cable Test: Use the built-in diagnostic tool by going to Settings > Support > Device Care > Self Diagnosis > HDMI Troubleshooting to verify the health of your connection.
If these steps do not resolve the issue, please send a Private Message to any of our moderators with your full model and serial number so we can look into this further for you. {DM Link}
