LED and OLED TVsHi-
My Samsung TV (UN55D6050) just blew up with a sound. It went dark. Red led on the front is not lit. It wonโt start. I never experienced any such thing in 50 years of using TV. This LED TV is almost 15 year old. I guess I have to throw it away as opposed trying the fix capacitor/supply board etc. Earlier this morning also the TV got turned off and couple of lights in the room dimmed for an sec. After that I was able to turn the TV back on. And in the evening, the TV just blew up. I hope itโs the issue with the TV and there is nothing else going on at home with regard to electric connections/line etc.

LED and OLED TVsI recommend using a UPS unit (uninterrupted power supply) to protect against damaging surges. They are a great investment to have knowing your expensive tv's are protected.
"Cyberpower or APC"(UPS unit) are a good relible brand.

LED and OLED TVsThanks!! I just got the new OLED. Using Belkinโs surge protector with 3900 Joules. Is that not enough? Or should I get an UPS??
