LED and OLED TVsGreetings,
I have a Samsung QN90AA 50 Tv and YouTube TV. Up until last night it had worked for some years.
Now there is no video or sound. The guide shows up and all the settings tabs and so on. There is even the option to resume a previously viewed show and I can click on that.
No video at all. It is stuck on a black screen with the little circle spinning.
If I click on the resume show windows, there is a commercial for some 3 minutes. The commercial video shows. No problem. there little timer is there to show the 3 minutes going by. Then upon completion, the screen goes black with the spinning circle.
I have done the following: power recycle, reinstall, clear cache, delete Smart Hub and reset to factory specs. No change.
In looking at the nerd information there is NO "Network Activity" The connection speed shows as well as the buffer health.
Also, YouTube TV works fine on my Samsung S21, desktop, laptop, tablet and Roku device. No problem.
The Samsung TV is connected via hardware to the router. There is WiFi also. Tried both connections. Just in case there was a hard wire issue. Zero luck there.
Up until now, there was not any issue. Download speed is about 120 Mps and upload is about 60 Mps.
Solved! Go to Solution.

LED and OLED TVsI read the thread all the way through as I was having the same issue on my new Smart TV. Hooked up the trusty Roku Ultra box to get YouTube TV. After three weeks, I decided to give support a try today. Two different folks were on the chat (First one dropped off the chat while I was trying to figure out how to upload a video of the issue). Once I found that the video was too large to upload, I got a different rep online. Went through a lot of the same discussion up front and then it was suggested that I unplug the TV (while it was on) and unplug the network router, both for three minutes. Didn't have a clue as to why, but did as asked. Once everything came back up, YouTube TV is working fine! The rep stated that it had something to do with the network. The rep couldn't explain why it just affected the YouTube TV app, but all I can say is that doing the power off worked.
Just thought I'd throw that out there. I'm happy it's working.

LED and OLED TVsI do not know why Samsung techs don't tell people to do this, but it worked for me. I found this from another thread for a different Samsung TV model. It solved the issues.
SAMSUNG TV โ FLASH MEMORY RESET
Steps:
- With the TV turned on, press and hold the power button on the bottom edge of the TV until the control panel menu appears on the screen that includes a power on/off icon.
- Release the button and have the TV remote handy as the control panel menu disappears shortly after it appears.
- While the control panel menu is showing, press and hold the power button on the TV remote for at least 5 seconds until the TV shuts off and the screen goes black.
- The TV will restart after a while and reboot.
- After the TV reboots you will have to go through and set up the TV as if it were new.
Note: This clears out the flash memory and junk cached files that accumulate and donโt get cleared out with the app cache clear step when going through the TV settings menus.

LED and OLED TVsI will try this but I have done a factory reset in the past and it did not work for me.
This method seems a little different though. I cannot try this until my wife is not around. I do not wish for her to be inconvenienced.....or hear me scream if it does not work ๐

LED and OLED TVsThanks for posting this process, I followed it, which led to the resolution of my issue. I agree it is very strange that Samsung support doesn't provide this process. Thanks again for posting, it's nice to have my TV back to normal after a couple years of using a ROKU device to do what the TV was suppose to do on it's own.

LED and OLED TVsIt seems that I will close the loop on this. I started this string many moons ago. Those were my photos showing the screens on page 1.
I have contacted YouTube TV no less than 20 times over this matter. Countless hours of talking, troubleshooting, emails, etc.
And now, after trying the Flash Memory Reset...SUCCESS!
I just finished the reset cycle as described, and it worked.
Thank you to Tom1230 for making it happen.
