I have a brand new Samsung dve45t6000w/a3 front loading dryer. 2 questions: Question 1 -- I was able to disable the end-of-cycle alert sound (chime sound) but how do you disable ALL alert sounds? I don't want any alert sounds/chime sounds when I have the dryer door open when taking some clothes out of the dryer during a drying cycle. I'm fine if actual system error alerts for major maintenance issues remain active, but the constant chime sounds should have a method to be disabled. Question 2: the user manual and the Samsung product web site state this model of dryer is supported by the Samsung SmartThings app, yet when I scan the dryer's QR code on the front of the dryer, the error message on my SmartThings iPhone app says "not supported". Is this model of dryer supported by SmartThings app or not?
Hey RPQ717, thank you for reaching out to Community. I see that you have several questions regarding the dryer pertaining to the chimes and Smart Things. The alarm off function is the only sound feature on your unit, all other sounds will remain active. Your unit does not connect to Wi-Fi so it is not compatible with all of the Smart Things features, however it is compatible with the Smart Care Smart Washer/Dryer App. Smart Care interacts with your washer and dryer to perform an immediate diagnosis and offer solutions. The instructions on how to use Smart Care can be found on page 42 of the user manual.
