Washer started making a very loud humming noise only on the spin cycle. Somehow the handle on the top washer also broke off within the last year. This washer/dryer is no longer sold so please assist with troubleshooting and/or how to order spare parts. All of these issues came up right as extended warranty ran out.

LaundryHey mkotterman32, thank you for reaching out to the Community. I understand that you are having several issues with the washer.
I have provided some troubleshooting steps for the humming noise and information regarding parts.
Regarding the humming noise you can perform the steps that I have listed below.
Check the Debris Filter: Unplug the washer and locate the drain pump filter (usually behind a small door at the bottom front). Drain any remaining water and clear out any trapped objects.
2. Level the Washer: Ensure all four feet are firmly on the ground. Use a level to verify the machine is not sloping, which can cause internal components to vibrate and hum.
3.Perform a Calibration: Run the "Calibration Mode" to ensure the sensors are properly detecting the weight and balance of the drum.
Step 1. Remove all clothing or other items.
Step 2. Turn the washing machine off and on again.
Step 3. Press and hold the Temp and Delay End buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter calibration mode (Cb message will appear on the screen.)
Step 4. Press and hold START/PAUSE to turn on calibration.
Step 5. The drum rotates to the right and left for approximately 4 minutes.
Step 6. When the calibration is complete, a 0 appears on the display and the top-loading washer will automatically shut off.
4. Inspect for Error Codes: Look for codes like SC (Drainage issue), 3C1/3C2 (Motor issue), or 8C (Vibration sensor issue) on the display, which can help pinpoint the exact failing part.
If none of these steps resolve the issue a service can be set up for the unit by clicking this link https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/locations/.
Any parts that you need can be purchased from www.samsungparts.com, or you can contact our parts distributor at 800-627-4368.
