How to revert terrible system updates

Dear Samsung Team,
I want to share some feedback on the recent automatic update. Honestly, I found it very disappointing and frustrating. One of my favorite features was the search function in the Gallery and Messages.

For example, in the Gallery, I used to be able to search for “nail” and quickly find all the nail art photos I had stored, including the ones I did myself. It was extremely convenient. After the update with the new AI search, many images no longer appear in results, and I have to scroll through manually—feels like stepping back to a phone experience from 10 years ago.

Similarly, in Messages, searching for an address now only brings up a Google Maps link. The text results themselves are no longer searchable.

What’s even more frustrating is that I’ve turned off all the new features that Samsung proudly introduced—but the AI search cannot be disabled.

I really wish such a major regression could have gone through more thorough testing before release, or that customers could opt out of this update.

Right now, I urgently need a way to roll back to the previous version.

Thank you for taking the time to consider my feedback if any of you do check this forum.

Sorry but they are no option to rollback OS updates

Reset the phone to factory and refuse the updates.

Factory resetting doesn't rollback OS updates

You can't refuse updates indefinitely. They are mandatory. You can usually delay updating a few times, but your device will eventually force the update.

As @GaryB82 said, downgrading is not possible. System updates are something you agreed to in the TOS and EULA when you first set up the device, even if you did not fully read those documents. Those documents can be revisited by going to settings > about phone > legal.

Okay, yeah I was searching for it and couldn't find any tags anywhere.
