Legacy S PhonesDoes anyone else have this issue?? I cannot "press 1 to " because the tones do not work in call. they do work when i dial a number, just not in call. Please help!!
You know when you dial a commercial number and reach a computer first, and the computer says, "For accounting, press 1. For service, press 2. For ship dates press 3...etc." You press the correct number you need AND THE PHONE MAKES A LITTLE BEEP NOISE TO INDICATE YOU PRESSED A BUTTON. In most of these situations it goes smoothly for me, but in some situations no beeping sound is made by my Samsung S20 FE phone when I punch the number, and so the extension I'm trying to reach doesn't hear beeps and everything sort of stops right there, the phone is useless. I had that problem one hour ago with Regions Bank and even when calling an AT&T number extension when I need to talk to them---otherwise I have no problem with other company phone number extensions. What causes this and what can I do? FYI there is another person from 3 years ago wrote here that she had the same problem. Suggestions were made there and I followed them but nothing helped. What do I do.

Legacy S PhonesDoes this work for those numbers when you use someone else's phone (or even a different carrier) or a landline?
There is a DTMF setting under Phone - Settings - Other Call Settings - DTMF tones
Toggle between Normal and Long to see if this makes a difference.
Another thing to try would be to go to Settings - Apps - Phone. Force Stop to stop the app. Storage - Clear cache to clear the cache and try again to see if it helps.
If nothing works, maybe call your carrier and see if it is something going on at their end.
Hope you get it going soon so calls to your your bank's phone work as expected.
