I was in the process of switching to Google Messages (☹️) on my Galaxy 20 FE and then decided to just keep using Samsung Messages until I get a new phone in a couple weeks. I set Samsung Messages back to default and now the option for RCS has disappeared?? I tried forcing stop, clearing cache, airplane mode on and off, and reset network. Any other ideas?

I was just about to say I'll just live with it, but now RCS is on all of a sudden! I still don't see a setting for it, but the blue dots come back on people's icons if I open them. And messages are now listed as "chat" instead of "text" in details. It's really weird. Thanks for the help, everyone.

You have to turn it off in Google Messages first.
