Samsung Messages discontinued

Recently received notification about SMS Samsung Messages switching to Google. How can I opt out to this?

You can't unfortunately.... They are shutting down in July... No more Samsung messages after that..

If your in the US go to the FTC and report it. This is actually illegal they cannot keep messenger on older devices and newer ones that can handle GOOGLE broken garbage forced to have it AFTER they sold phones with the feature of Samsung messenger. This is classic enaround or bait and switch .

I agree I dont like Google messages due to the fact you can not customize like I can with samsung messages and I dont want to be forced into something we as the costumer and loyalty consumers would like to keep the samsung messages and if you like Google then they would have the option to switch between the two

highly disappointed in "Google RCS messenger" was told it was discontinued July 6.....honestly "F that I I tried using Google messages an it seemed almost fake lol so said screw that an just went back to samsung messages an made sure to switch the default back and now using an older version of samsung messages and now headache went away lol that and the fact Google is so quick to MAKE you switch it's Insane they decided to start recording all of your audio spoken or texts transcripts....now my samsung health awareness all sudden emaied notices that my insulin pump is in violation of the terms section 15.....ugh **bleep** so looks like samsung has a pending lawsuit against me....exciting

unfortunately im supposed to stop all services once it's in court 😒 I highly dislike ...I phones but not sure what to switch to 😂
