I bought this smart monitor in Sept 2023, and now, a few weeks ago (March 2025), while doing nothing special or extraordinary (double monitoring while doing my homework from college), it suddenly stopped working. I tried everything, different outlets, different plugs, pressing the on/off button, etc., but nothing worked. I don't even see the right light on.
It is sad because I am team Samsung and most of my electronic devices are Samsung, but this monitor seems to be bad and not reliable. Now, Samsung wants to pay for a repair, which is so frustrating because this monitor is not even 2 years old, and it's not working anymore. It's like they programmed this monitor to fail right after the warranty expires, so we have to pay extra for these issues.
Please, I need assistance without paying a dollar; it is not fair that we have to spend more money, and especially time, to solve these issues.

Monitors and MemoryHello @MM1753! Thank you for reaching out! It seems that you have tried all the relevant troubleshooting steps, and the issue is not resolved. The only option would be service; depending on your warranty, you will have a few options.
- If you have an extended warranty you can reach out to them to have service processed.
- If you're within the one year warranty, you can Private message me or one of our moderators or you can call in directly at 1-800- 726-7864 with your full model and serial number to have service setup
- If you're OUT of warranty, for depot type products (Soundbars, Home Theater Systems, tablets, ect.) that require to be shipped we recommend you speak with our depot team for pricing and to have the service set up: 1-310-669-4334.

Monitors and Memory@MM1753 Have you checked to see if the power cord is securely plugged into the back of the monitor? Or even trying a different power cable?

Monitors and MemoryYou changed plugs, did you check your graphics card for failure? When my monitor went dark, I assumed it was the graphics cable but turned out to be the graphics card. Since my computer is old, there were no available graphics cards that fit the slot, so I ended up with a USB/HDMI converter and it's working just fine. You have dual monitors, which means you either have a dual port graphics board or a second graphics board. Even with a dual port, it would not be unusual for one port to just die while the other is fine.
Why would you expect a warranty repair after 2 years? Most electronics are waranteed against "factory defects" for only a year, unless yours was somehow special. If something was going to fail for a factory defect, usually does so in the first 90 days, but certainly within a year. Assuming the monitor did die, there is nothing to say that the monitor did not suffer from a power surge (either from a bad outlet, bad plug or bad cable). So, decide whether to purchase a new monitor or repair the one you have. If it's going to cost as much to repair as replace, go with a replacement.

Monitors and MemoryAbout your second paragraph, do you think it's fair to have only 6 months after warranty (it's not even 2 years) of a working monitor and suddenly it stops working without any clue of what's going on? Not even a Chinese smartphone is that bad. I have read a few topics in reddit about this smart monitor m7 with the same issue, but with no solution.

Monitors and Memory- Whether it is fair or not, when an item comes with a warranty term, it is stated what that term is explicitly. You make the purchase understanding that. It does not matter if a thing dies 1 day out of warranty or 6 months out of warranty. The warranty period has ended. It has been a fact of life in the 20th and 21st centuries. Gone are the days when manufacturers stood by their products forever. Again, you don't know if it is an actual manufacturer's defect or something fried a circuit. Even if others are having what seems like the same issue, all dead monitors may not have the same cause, and other people can have flaky electricity due to a bad grid, storms, etc. You can buy identical products at the exact same time, and one fails and the other doesn't. That is the nature of electronics.
