On 9/16, I installed Windows 10 Pro on a brand new 980 Pro 500GB NVMe. Since then, Drive Health in Samsung Magician reports 943GB written. This is a false and absurd amount of TBWs, or at least I think so. In reality, I have written maybe 1/100's of that amount. Why does TBW keep dramatically increasing even when the drive is idle? Since first installing Windows, I ran 3 performance benchmarks via Magician and each benchmark wrote over 100GB. Why? Firmware is the latest and I'm using Microsoft's NVMe driver because Samsung doesn't have one for the 980.

Easily said than done, I don't have a Linux box. I also never used Linux before and wouldn't know where to start looking.
