From an online vendor, I ordered Samsung model #MZ-76E500B/AM, but when the item arrived, I found model #MZ-76E500B/EU printedon the factory security sealed retail box.
From what I can deduce, the AM is for the American market and the EU is for the European market.
I would assume both these devices are functiaonally idenical but would like confirmation before I install the drive into my computer.
Three quick questions:
1) Are these two drives functionally identical?
2) Will Samsung honor the product waranty the same?
3) Any other considerations I should be concerned about?
I called Samsung support this morning. Was told these are internally the same units. Same features, same performance. The only difference is that the European warranty is not honored in the United States. I would have to send the unit to Europe in the case of warranty. So I’m sending this back for a refund and buying the correct American version. Lesson learned.

i have orderd samsung evo 860 MZ-76E500B/EU but when i recived the package the model was MZ-76E500B/KR (made in china) are they same in performance or should i return the product , kindly reply
