I own a brand new C49RG90 monitor connected with Display port @ 120Hz native resolution 5120x1440.
I have a really weird issue with it: In some grey/dark/black colors of the screen, some random pixels are flickering in red or green. A few pixels every second.
It's not always the same pixels, and it's not always at the same spot. It seems totally random. But it's always in some part of the image where it's grey/back (maybe just because you can't see them on white background).
I already tried to:
- Change the Displayport cable with another one.
- Use the other displayport connector at the back of the monitor.
- Connect to another computer with another brand of graphic card.
- Mess with the color settings on my graphic card.
- Unplug and replug everything, everywhere.
The only thing that I couldn't change was the monitor itself (of course).
I always had the same issue. No matter the setup.
Here is some of my specs:
- Windows10 PC
- GTX 1060 6G graphic card
- Intel i7-9700K cpu
Could anyone help me to get rid of these flickering pixels ?
This guy have the same kind of issue (but his color fix didn't worked.):
How long have you had the unit? You may still be in the window of return to get it exchanged with your retailer.
It could be a number of different things, it could be the port it's self causing issue with not being soldered good or it could be an issue with the GPU in that the GPU isn't cable of reaching 4k resolution at 120hz when choosing the settings in the Nvidia control panel when choosing a resolution are you using the native one? Are you overclocking the refresh rate? IF the issue still persists then getting an exchange would be the best option.
Since the issue still occurs I would recommend getting an exchange.
