Monitors and MemoryI just got the CJ79 34" Monitor. I connected the given Thunderbolt 3 cable from the monitor to my Laptop's USB-C port and the video display shows up fine. However, when I connect peripherals like a wireless mouse to the Monitor's USB-A ports, the monitor does not act as a USB hub as advertised, even though the 'USB Hub' mode is on

Monitors and MemoryIf all the troubleshooting from this thread has failed, I recommend getting the monitor serviced. You can do this by sending your full model code and serial number via private message or calling 1-800-SAMSUNG directly.

Monitors and MemoryHi Samsung Larry. If you mean the software on the monitor, then the answer is no. I encountered the problem right out of the box.

Monitors and MemoryHi Samsung Larry,
I checked the manual on how to do the software update. It instructed me to unsert a 'USB Disk'. My monitor didn't come with any USB Disk, and there is no other information on what is is or alternate means to do the software update.

Monitors and MemoryAre using a USB2.0 wireless mouse? Also to update the firmware you would need a USB 2.0 Stick and would need to download the firmware version manually and then manually install it.
You can use this link to find the new version: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/thunderbolt-3-ultra-wide-screen-j791

Monitors and MemoryHi Caleb,
I tried to download the firmware, but I could only find the file 'C34J79xWT.exe' at the link. The manual (screenshot below) says that for the upgrade to work, I need to ahave a file that has the extension '.bin' Please advise. Yes the mouse is USB 2.0
C34J79xWT.

Monitors and MemoryMy apologies for the confusion, did you run the .exe from the link it will be the drivers for the monitor.

Monitors and MemoryYes, I tried several times. Still no success.
I got the screen below and made a selection with the "Thunderbolt" option. I got a notification that the manual driver was installed, but my peripherals still do not work.

Monitors and MemoryHi Samsung Support,
I am having the same issue, the USB hub is not working on my CJ791 monitor when connecting to my Samsung laptop. I downloaded the driver as outlined. Please advise on where to download the monitor firmware if that is what is required to get the hub to work.
